Are you dreaming of an Oregon Coast elopement but struggling to find the right place? Well let me help you! Oregon is one of my favorite places, and my own dream destination to elope! It’s hard to find a bad place to elope on the coast, but if you’re needing some direction, here are my top 5 suggestions for where you should elope on the Oregon Coast.
Forest Park is a huge arboretum in Portland full of gorgeous backdrops perfect for.a whimsical, forest wedding. In addition to the beautiful forest-scapes, there’s also several structures available for rental for your big day including a pavilion, a wooden deck, and the welcome center of the park.
Most of the Oregon Coast features dark rocks and gray beaches, but not Cape Kiwanda. The Cape has a unique, tan colored stone that creates a beautiful rock structure that you can stand on top of you. It gives off a cliff top vibe with a lot less hiking, while still allowing you to be close to the beach.
It’s hard to top the classic haystack rock look of Cannon Beach. It’s the quintessential Oregon Coast view, and a breathtaking backdrop for a wedding. While it can be crowded, this depends so much on what time of year and what time of day you go. Depending on how close you’d like to be to Haystack Rock, you can even plan to go at low tide to be closest to the rock.
One of my favorite little beaches, Hug Point is a perfect spot if you can’t decide between forest and beach. On the hillside is a gorgeous forest with trails for walking, and down the cliff is a little beach with a small “cave” in the rock of the cliff. It’s the perfect spot for getting the best of both worlds.
This is a very special spot that is mostly unknown, and so in an effort to keep in that way, I’m not going to say exactly the name or location of this spot, it’s an exclusive option for my clients! Just a short hike down from the road, this spot is perfect for adventurers who want the most epic background for their elopement. The hillside has wildflowers in the summer, and the cliffs are a gorgeous black rock that make this little place look like somewhere from another country.
